Feel Comfortable In Your Skin With Electrolysis Hair Removal

Many of us struggle with our natural body hair. A great number of men and women find that they feel more confident, attractive and comfortable when this unwanted hair is removed.

Unfortunately, many hair removal options have considerable downsides. Shaving or using hair removal mousse is time-consuming, may irritate the skin and is only a short-term solution. Waxing, whilst providing longer-lasting results, can be painful, expensive and also leave your skin irritated.

Electrolysis offers a permanent solution to the problem of body hair - in fact, it is the only hair removal method legally allowed to describe itself as permanent. This can save you both time and money.

As well as being an effective hair removal treatment, electrolysis can be used to remove minor cosmetic blemishes such as milia, skin tags, thread veins and many more.

Electrolysis For Hair Removal

How Does It Work?

Electrolysis works by inserting a fine probe into the hair follicle. This probe is approximately the width of an eyelash and directs a minute burst of energy towards the root of the hair.

This process halts the nutrients that feed the hair, making it become progressively weaker and finer.

Following multiple treatments, the hair will no longer be able to grow, leaving you with smooth, soft and hair-free skin!

Is Electrolysis Painful?

Many clients worry that electrolysis is a painful procedure. In fact, the sensation that is experienced differs from person to person, with some describing it as ‘no worse than a mosquito bite’ and others stating that it feels ‘like having a rubber band snapped on bare skin’. The discomfort that you feel will also differ between areas of the body, for example, the upper lip is likely to be more sensitive than the leg.

In order to obtain long-lasting results, you will need to undertake multiple sessions. The number of sessions that you need depends on the type of hair that you have and what your typical regrowth is like. This cannot be exactly predicted from the start of your treatment, but you will be kept informed of your progress throughout.

Where Can I Have Electrolysis Hair Removal?

Electrolysis is safe to use anywhere on the body, but we have found that it is most popular, and most effective, when used to treat unwanted facial hair.

Put the Jolen down forever - a few sessions with us and you will never have to worry about unwanted upper lip and/or chin hair ever again!

Advanced Electrolysis Hair Removal

Minor cosmetic blemishes can leave us feeling uncomfortable about showing off our skin. This can lead to us missing out on fun days at the beach and with fewer clothing options as we strive to keep certain areas covered.

We believe that this is NOT OK!

Missing out on fun and fashion because you are not comfortable in your own skin is a dreadful waste.

How Does It Work?

In the procedure, a thermolysis current is delivered through a very fine needle. This either lifts away or cauterises the superficial epidermis, depending on which kind of blemish is being treated.

What To Expect

This treatment can be somewhat uncomfortable, but clients typically describe it as a warm, stinging sensation, which is easily tolerable.

Results, healing time and the number of treatments needed will differ depending on the type of blemish that you are having treated.

For example, skin tags will be removed instantly and leave minor scabbing or a small red mark, which will disappear after 7-10 days. Conversely, red veins and spider naevi will begin to fade after three weeks. Whilst there is likely to be a noticeable difference after just one treatment, it typically takes three to correct red veins and spider naevi fully.

What We Offer

At k:SPA we offer 15- and 30-minute electrolysis hair removal treatments.

A 15-minute treatment costs just £24, and the 30-minute session costs £36. Depending on the area that you want to be treated, we would generally advise taking advantage of the savings that come with a 30-minute session.

Our advanced electrolysis sessions will depend on what kind of blemish you are having treated and where on the body it lies. Our initial consultation will give you an estimate of how much treatment you will need, however, all skin is different, so our projected course of treatment may change as we go.
