Skin Tags & Thread Veins
Getting Rid Of Skin Tags & Thread Veins
Skin tags are soft growths on the skin that are usually small and harmless. These are usually the same colour as your skin and often grow where your skin rubs together or folds. You most commonly find them on the neck, under the arms, on eyelids, under breasts and around the bottom.
Thread veins (also known as spider veins or broken veins) are tiny veins that usually appear on the face and legs. They may be hereditary or develop due to hormonal imbalances. Continued excessive alcohol consumption can also damage veins and cause thread veins on the face.
We offer advanced electrolysis to get rid of unsightly skin tags, thread veins and other blemishes, or sclerotherapy for fine leg veins. Book a consultation by calling 01489 880 497 or book your appointment and consultation online. We may also carry out a quick skin test to check you are suitable for this treatment.
What Is Advanced Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a fast and effective treatment to permanently get rid of skin tags, thread veins, and other unwanted blemishes.
We will cauterise the skin tag or blemish with a very fine electrolysis needle. This destroys the blemish, leaving a small red mark which will scab before dropping off approximately 7-10 days later.
This is a non-invasive procedure that does not usually leave any scar tissue. Please book a consultation so we can assess your needs, explain the treatment in more detail, and carry out a quick test to assess your suitability for advanced electrolysis.
Advanced Electrolysis Or Sclerotherapy For Red Vein Removal
Advanced electrolysis is suitable for skin tags, thread veins (face only), milia, cherry angioma (blood spots), seborrheic keratosis, warts, verrucas, sebaceous cysts, and moles.
Sclerotherapy injections are suitable for thread veins in the legs.
Is Electrolysis Suitable For Hair Removal?
Yes it is! Electrolysis is a safe, effective, progressive and permanent method of removing unwanted hair from small areas. It remains the only method legally allowed to claim it offers truly permanent hair removal for all skin types and colours and all hair types and colours.
A fine probe (about the size of an eyelash) is inserted into the hair follicle where a tiny burst of energy is targeted at the root of the hair. This prevents nutrients from feeding the hair so the hair becomes weaker and finer. After repeated treatments, the hair is no longer able to grow so you can enjoy hair-free results.
